After Rain study-Framed

This was begun as a Plein Air study in the Santa Rosa Ecological Plateau. The top third was obscured by tree branches, so I completed/invented the top portion in the studio. I worked it up to this state and felt no need to do a larger piece. I did paint a larger variation, titled: After Rain, petals. It is listed in the Landscape section. 

With the frame, it measures 14’’x 18’’x 2.25’’
